A selection of the best works of Faberge

30 may 1846 in the Russian Empire was born one of the most famous jewelers in the world, Peter Karl Gustavovich Faberge. He is most famous for his series of "Faberge Eggs". It was created between 1885 and 1917 for the Russian Imperial family and private buyers. Total known about the creation of 71 copies, out of which 52 are Imperial. In 1882 at the all-Russian artistic and industrial exhibition in Moscow products of his company attracted the attention of Emperor Alexander III. Peter Carl received the patronage of the Royal family and the title of "jeweler of His Imperial Majesty and the jeweler of the Imperial Hermitage". In addition, the Faberge firm was famous in Europe. Many relatives of the Imperial family in the UK, Denmark, Greece and Bulgaria received gifts. In 1900 in Paris, Faberge got the title of "Master of the Paris Guild of Jewellers", and he was awarded the Legion of honor.
