Products debilitating arthritis pain

What kind of diet you need to adhere to patients with arthritis to manage their condition? This question happened to be answered using the largest analysis of diets and different types of arthritis. The researchers analyzed data from 15 studies and more than 800 patients.

Having examined several diets that are popular among patients with arthritis, they found that the best effect in terms of pain relief was achieved with a diet of Mediterranean type, with a predominance of products such as fruits, vegetables, grains, fish, olive oil and with a limited consumption of red meat. After twelve weeks, people on the diet reported about 15% reduction of pain, but there was no improvements in physical function or morning of rigor. A vegetarian diet that includes eggs and dairy products, had a similar effect.

In other experiments, patients who, along with Antirheumatic drugs every day gave fish oil have noticed a strong improvement for swollen and painful joints than patients who were given a placebo, apparently because of the anti-inflammatory effect of the oil.

Experts say that a diet which is gradually removed suspicious products should help patients to identify any problematic foods.
