The first robot that will collect the strawberries
To automate the process of assembling the strawberry turned out the engineers of the Japanese company Shibuyа EC. They have developed a robot that can detect ripe berries and cut them in the tray.
The robot height of about two meters, and moves on rails between the raised beds with strawberries and establishes a level of maturity. If the berry can be consumed, the robotic arm, the robot breaks it in the trash.
The speed is about eight seconds per berry. The process for determining the maturity and positioning of the manipulator correspond to three digital cameras: two presets and third accurate capture and direction of mechanical arm.
