'Pride of Buffalo' - a floating house made of trash
American designer Michael Weeks created an interesting homemade barge house for water travel. The barge is made mainly of construction debris, materials that, as Michael noted, he left after the construction of a new house. If Michael built his ferry out of new materials, it would cost him $2,000. The ferry itself, as well as the platform that is set up on it, is made by the designer. It’s called the “Pride of Buffalo” floating structure. This, somewhat ironic, name the creator chose in honor of the city where he lives.
80% of the house on the ferry is made of hard plywood, in particular, the floor is made of it, as well as the frame of the house, which, if necessary, can be sheathed with something. At the top of the frame is a rectangular roof that covers the domed structure from sunlight and rainwater. Inside the house on the ferry there are several shops, in the floor there is a hatch that leads to the cargo compartment for small luggage. Michael said that his "Pride" can withstand on water up to 2,300 kilograms. An unusual floating structure is driven by a boat engine.
The house on the barge “Pride of Buffalo” is a perfect example of a mobile “green” arbor for a water holiday. From the "Pride" you can fish or just admire the views. Also, the barge is perfect for traveling on rivers and lakes. The inventor added that in the future he would like to make a full-size water house that would stand on the river and at the same time have on board all the comforts familiar to modern man. Michael was encouraged to work on such a project by the fact that in the United States residential real estate is constantly becoming more expensive on the ground.
