The BYD electric bus drove 325 kilometers on a single charge

In Europe set a new record for the longest electric bus travel on a single charge. The Chinese electric bus manufacturer BYD has managed to overcome the 325 kilometers, while retaining to the end of the trip 8% battery charge. The previous record, recorded last year a bus of the same model in Poland, was surpassed by a dozen kilometers.

As for the world record for the movement of buses with electric drive on a single charge cycle, then it belongs to the Malaysian manufacturer's Prasarana Transit. His bus in Malaysia have managed to overcome 400 kilometers, and this figure still seems out of reach. At the same time it is worth noting that the announcement of this achievement officially confirmed no one was, and sounded only from the mouth of the representatives from Prasarana Transit. And it is likely that figure could be exaggerated to increase demand for buses of the company.

Returning to public transport from BYD, note that in Europe, they are now one of the most common buses. As of today, based on official reports from the automaker, it is known that the BYD electric buses rolling on the streets 25 European cities.

For example, in Copenhagen, where they began to operate in the beginning of this year, BYD electric buses have passed the test of the harsh Scandinavian winter, successfully confirming all according to the manufacturer specifications. And in the Turkish capital Ankara, where BYD are several longer representatives of the fleets of public transport noted that the use of electric buses has reduced operating costs from 90 percent. In addition to frugality, the BYD electric buses more comfortable for passengers and a spacious Luggage compartment allows to transport oversized cargo.

Given all these positive reviews we can assume that the distribution of BYD electric buses in Europe will grow at a rapid pace, as the Europeans have a predisposition to rational technology.
