English poultry will switch to pellets

 

 

 





Recently it was decided that 20 poultry farms will be upgrading for energy use from biomass. It will spend 22.7 million U.S. dollars. According to company representatives, this will help to raise the standards of poultry production and will also reduce emissions of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere and lower the cost of operating poultry farms.

 

The idea in an indirect heat exchanger using biomass using wood pellets as a source of combustion. The so-called "dry heat" will improve air quality, providing complete control over the humidity levels throughout the entire cycle of growing birds.

With proper maintenance of boilers of indirect heating significantly saves energy through the use of a cheaper energy source. Operating costs generally fall.

Lionel Hall, Director of agricultural Department of Agriculture said:

"We are always looking for innovations and ways to improve the efficiency of production, and we hope that this upgrade will raise the standards for the entire poultry industry."

Re-equipment began in April of this year.
