Cranberry helps with allergies to peanuts

A group of researchers found that the combination of peanut flour with cranberry juice reduces the immune response in mice.

A group of researchers under the leadership of Mary Ann from the University of North Carolina suggested that polyphenols can help people to develop tolerance to peanut, without causing allergic reactions.

Scientists have combined peanut flour with different solutions of polyphenols, juices or extracts from black currant, cranberry, elderberry, green tea, grapes and other products. A series of experiments showed that the combination of the cranberry-peanut most effectively. Further studies in mice given these figures, the mice had 75% lower levels of biomarkers for the release of molecules responsible for allergic reactions, proving that peanut flour with cranberries more hypoallergenic. However, despite exciting results, experts do not rush to premature conclusions and are planning to verify this combination in a clinical setting on patients.
