Georgia will study the potential of wind





You can help this is Turkey. A Memorandum of understanding to explore the potential of wind energy, the Georgian government signed with the Turkish company Energy Windpower.

Energy Windpower will examine the strength of the wind in Poti, Kutaisi, Chorokhi, Saboti, Gori, Kaspi, Samgori, Rustavi, Paravani and Akhaltsikhe and prepare an analysis of the impact of the project on the environment.

After the completion of the study, in the case of a positive feasibility study, the company will build wind farms with a total production capacity of 1450 MW.

In the construction of wind farms the Turks are ready to invest 1.4 billion dollars.

On the way to renewable energy Georgia is already moving.

The other day in Mtskheta-tyanetsa the region was commissioned Aragvi HPP, which built the company Energo Aragvi. The power plant will operate up to 10 people.

Its installed capacity is 8 MW, which will produce 50 million kW/h of electricity per year.
