8 of the worst sites by the Times
The Times analyzed the most popular tourist destinations and chose the most useless sights in the world. Also, travelers were offered new places to visit.
Many faced with this situation: you came all this way to see the world, dreamed of and saw on postcards. What do you think?! Some nonsense, just filmed from a good angle and nothing outstanding. In the end, you go home disappointed and regret the wasted money.
To avoid this happening to the development of a tourist route requires a serious approach and realize that subjectivity rules the world. One Eiffel tower seems a little pile of metal, for some it's Paris, the most romantic place on Earth. So you do have to think of where to direct his shafts, but in the meantime check out the list of places to not go, and some alternative tour options.
1. The famous leaning tower in Pisa (Italy). From school we know of its existence and know how it looks. You will not be super original, if on arrival in Pisa take pictures like your power trying to prop up the tower.
Also in Italy is to visit the town of San Gimignano. It is standing firmly on its Foundation, a gorgeous medieval architecture, numerous museums, splendid music festival and stunning views of the Tuscan landscape.
2. Brazilian Copacabana. All the downside is that since the 1970s the backdrop of the famous beach in Copacabana "decorate" six-lane highway and the endless number of skyscrapers. Now Copacabana one of the most densely populated areas of the Earth. Water better than just water, its purity is poor. The audience is very diverse, for example, vagrants, pickpockets, proud locals, crazy tourists and a lot of prostitutes.
No worse than the looks is located in proximity to Ipanema. In this place there is something that you will never find Copacabana, and the citizens here are much friendlier and prettier.
3. Floating village of Uros on lake Titicaca (Peru, Bolivia). Any tourist route runs in this place, and the locals, once such a way to hide from the Incas, now entertain guests countless national performances.
As an alternative to hackneyed costume ride just to the North of the lake Umai. There is a very interesting couple of days to live in tents and ruins to see the sunrise over lake Titicaca.
4. The walk of fame in Hollywood (USA). How can there be beauty in the ordinary sidewalk? Let there are stars and many celebrities, but this is just the street on which the walk, spit gum, walk their dogs, trying to sell drugs, and so on.
There is another no less interesting place — Venice beach. To get there, you need to drive down sunset Boulevard to the beach. Here you will see an amazing show with live people — surfers, hippies, sunbathing starlets and basketball stars.
5. Blarney Castle (Ireland). We already wrote about the Blarney stone. A smart man will hardly find it normal to pay 10 euros for the opportunity to kiss a stone that smacked his thousands and thousands of tourists.
Better go to the fortress of Cahir, for the input from you will tear off four times less, and the experiences you will get much more, because this fortress for two centuries older than Blarney. And such crowds here.
6. Times square (USA). The beauty of this place is rather dubious, but if someone likes network toy stores Toys R Us., McDonalds and the neon sign, then you there.
But if you really want to see this bustling new York, you will in the Lower East side. Here you will find cuisine of all countries of the world, quaint shops, cozy bars and many more.
7. Bondi Beach (Australia). This place is famous only for its beach and everything on the back side of it you will find only unattractive provincial home.
You can go to manly. And houses to beautiful beach and great.
8. Las Vegas (USA). Some casino smell chic, big money, expensive perfume and all that smoothly merges into that aristocracy, which we saw in the movie "Casino Royale". In Las Vegas things are different. Crowds of tourists made the local casino in a real cesspool, where you will be greeted by the smell of well-worn tiles and zombies with a blank stare squander money day and night. So it turns out Las Vegas.
