The appearance of this cocktail is quite unusual.

Its name comes from the Low German expression Kuddel-muddel.





It is believed that gogol-mogul was invented by confectioner Manfred Köckenbauer during experiments on canning sweets, and a patent for its mass production was acquired by one well-known food concern for one and a half million marks.

At the same time, there is a legend that says that more than a hundred years ago this drink was invented by the cantor of the synagogue Gogel from Mogilev, who lost his job because of the loss of his voice.

In search of a remedy that could restore his voice, Gogel came up with a recipe that was as follows: “Take a cheese testicle and pop into a mug, crumble bread, salt and shake.”

At this time, the poor deacon had a noble culinary rival from the Great Collective - the young Countess Pototskaya. Fragile and feisty Mrs. Bronislawa loved to surprise famous guests with a new romance, but her voice was often treacherously broken. Hearing about the miraculous dish, she immediately ordered it to be cooked. However, replace bread with honey, and renamed it from "gogel-grave" to "gogol-mogol".

The simplest recipe for gogol-mogul: recommends whipping a couple of egg yolks with sugar and taking two teaspoons on an empty stomach in the morning. But nowadays, gogol-mogul has become quite widespread, and it can be prepared in different ways.

Honey gogol-mogul also helps very well if the throat hurts, of course, when there is no allergy to honey, lemon and orange juice. So, whipp the yolk, add two glasses of hot milk and six spoons of honey, then two tablespoons of orange or lemon juice, all this needs to be warmed up a little and add protein whipped with sugar; taken on an empty stomach.

Children's gogol-mogul cooked Aibolit in Chukovsky's fairy tale, and no kid will refuse this delicacy. And if the throat is hoarse or angina crept up, then this drink will be just a wand for those children who do not like drugs.

Gogol-mogul “Polish” is prepared with the addition of strawberries or raspberries with drops of lemon juice. First, the yolks should be erased with sugar, and the proteins should be whipped into a lush foam. In Polish, the name of this cocktail is Kogel-mogel. Coffee gogol-mogul is prepared at the rate of one egg for four coffee cups. The protein is whipped with a mixer, and the yolk is rubbed with sugar. At the bottom of the cup, pour warm milk, and then just brewed ground coffee, on top add a little yolk, and then, in the center, protein. At the same time, you need to drink this drink from a cup without stirring.

Alcoholic gogol-mogul served in bars, more designed for the female half of the visitors, as it turns out too sweet, but the men-sweet tooth, I think, will like it, too. To prepare it, mix yolk, cream, sugar syrup, ice with rum (wine, cognac, brandy, whiskey), then filter and serve in a high glass with crumbs of nutmeg.





Gogol-mogul "Dutch" is called "Lawyer", and prepare it with the addition of cognac as follows. First, the yolk is whipped with salt and sugar to form a thick mixture of lemon color, then add cognac and put this mass on a water bath. The cocktail is prepared on a slow heat, carefully stirring, the main thing is not to overheat, the drink should be warm, not hot. After removal from the water bath, you need to add vanilla, and then make a “cap” from cream. And thus, the cocktail turns into a dessert that is not drunk, but eaten with a spoon.
