In Slovakia, the billboards are transformed into cozy shelters for homeless

The team of architects from Slovakia figured out how to turn billboards rising along all major roads in the world, in a small shelter for those left without a roof over your head.

Two-bedroom apartments will be placed in a cube, all sides are plastered with advertising posters.Inside is very cozy and has everything necessary for life: kitchen, work space, a bed with ample storage space underneath and even the bathroom.

The authors of the project – architectural firm DesignDevelop, explain the idea on his website: “This project allows us to optimize the construction of billboards. Such an object demands a minimum of expenses and costs may be partially covered by the rental of advertising space”.

Even though the project exists only in digital form, the idea seems very promising.
