Poor this child is 3.5 years, could be a sign of behavioral problems

Researchers believe that language problems in a child three and a half years, can be a symptom of further problems.

Psychologists at Indiana University tracked the relationship between early language skills and subsequent behavior problems in children of younger age. The researchers argue that the poor language skills of the baby, can be a sign of behavioral problems later in life: ADHD, inattention and hyperactivity.

Isaac Petersen says: "young children use language in the form of private or self-speech as a tool that helps them control their behavior and guide their actions, especially in difficult situations. Children who do not have strong language skills, are less able to regulate their behavior and more likely to develop behavior problems". The specialist added that "if, at the age of 3 ½ years, the child is still lagging, it may be justified, the treatment of language and self-regulation skills — the earlier the better".
