The first wind farm in Georgia will start to build in 2015
In 2015 will begin construction of Georgia's first wind power installed capacity of 20 megawatts with the prospect of up to 300 MW. The plant will be constructed at the expense of public funds. The investment cost is $30 million.
Pre-feasibility study of the project of wind power plant in Gori (Eastern Georgia) is ready, which affirms the potential of the project. In addition, at the stage of a feasibility study there are 16 hydropower projects in the region of Shida Kartli.
It is worth noting that the project will be implemented within the framework of plans for the development of alternative energy sources.
