The video, created using map data from the probe Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO), shows part of the lunar surface, which is not visible from the Ground. The invisible side of the satellite is sometimes called "dark". But it's not. It is illuminated by sunlight in the same way as the other side which is always facing our planet.

The far side is the same as the near side passes a full cycle of phases. However, it is different terrain. It lacks the large dark spots, making the visible side of the moon looks like a human face, — it is told in message NASA.

By the way, in this area the European space Agency (ESA) plans to deploy a database from which to begin colonization of the moon.
