Gorgeous potatoes with garlic and thyme

Gorgeous presentation of sliced potatoes with garlic, thyme and bacon. This dish will be the star of your holiday feasts!

This is one of those dishes that looks fancy, but really its quite simple to do and doesn't even need to peel the potatoes!



You will need:
 

  • 2 kg red potatoes
  • 5 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
  • 10 cloves garlic mashed with chesnokodavilku
  • 1-2 tablespoons (additional) Olive oil
  • 3 sprigs of thyme
  • Salt and black pepper
How to cook:

1. Preheat the oven to 170°

2. Mix 5 tbsp olive oil, lemon juice and garlic paste in a large bowl.

3. Thoroughly wash the potatoes. Thinly slice the potatoes, the best result will give a special grater. (About 1 mm), Coat all the potatoes in olive mixture until a uniform coating. Lay out the slices of potatoes (accordion) in a 25 cm baking dish. Bake for 1 hour.

4. Take out of the oven. Roll 2 tablespoons of olive oil over the tops of the potato slices.

5.Thyme placed between slices of potatoes. Generously sprinkle with salt and pepper.

6. Return to the oven and bake for 30-35 minutes or until the potatoes are completely ready. The potatoes should be soft in the middle and crispy on the outer edges.
