Smart building changes color depending on the light

In West Philadelphia built glass building, smart walls that can change color depending on the light level. Due to this they will not be pale and warm, and the roof will house solar panels, microgeneration turbines and installations for water purification.

Architects love to create buildings made of glass. Glass walls from floor to ceiling provide good lighting, thanks to which people can feel like they are on the street.

But on Sunny days the glass creates a glare, and the walls can heat up. This requires additional energy costs for cooling the premises. New office glass promises to solve all these problems.

Built in West Philadelphia glass building called 3.0 University Place. Its walls can change color depending on the light level.

The Windows of the building will have smart sensors that can detect sunlight and change color depending on the lighting level. Windows, created SageGlass, you can work with the remote control.

3.0 University Place can obtain Platinum LEED certification, which confirms its high environmental friendliness. On the office roof will be solar panels and microgeneration turbine. There also will be collected rainwater and purified to be used inside the building, and a garden with walking paths.

The team that builds a building today, trying to find the office anchor tenant, and several companies from the Fortune 500 list have already expressed interest in this proposal. The construction of the building, occupying 189 thousand square meters, is expected to be completed by the end of 2018.

3.0 University Place is part of a larger plan to construct several buildings certified LEED Platinum called "Platinum corridor." It is projected that it will bring the city an unprecedented level of efficiency. published
