The limestone caves in Waitomo gained worldwide fame thanks to the myriad of fireflies that inhabit them. They create a phosphorescent glow, because of which the caves look totally surreal.

Sean Jeffers visited the cave for a year, trying to capture and convey the magnificence of shining caves. He stood knee-deep in the icy water for six hours a day, taking pictures. And the result of these efforts is fully justified!
