Russian Union of Youth (PCM) offers MPs to ban smoking at the wheel, in order to reduce the number of accidents that occur due to carelessness of drivers.





"Smoking while driving is dangerous, as distracting drivers from the road and driving, for example, at the time of lighting a cigarette or while pulled out of the pack," - said in the appeal to the President of the RSM of the Duma Committee on Transport Eugene Moskvicheva available to the "Interfax" .

In PCM also noted that tobacco smoke can get the driver's eyes and lead to a "loss of orientation in space", and the driver of smoking on the bus or minibus violates a law limiting tobacco smoking.

Smoking at the wheel is not less dangerous than talking on the phone, which is already prohibited by the rules of traffic, according to the PCM and asked the Duma to consider the possibility of introducing a similar ban and a fine.
