Tayma oasis located in the province of Tabuk, 220 km south-east of the city of Tabuk. Tayma occupies a relatively flat plain on the western edge of the desert of al Nafud, to the east of the area of the Western Shield, which includes volcanic ridge known as Al Harrat 'Uwayrid.
