Adobe released Lightroom for iPad





Adobe as a complement to its desktop application program released Lightroom for iPad. Application running through a cloud service Adobe, automatically synchronizes selected collections of photographs and subsequent changes of desktop between Lightroom and iPad-app, writes Mashable.

Unlike other mobile applications, Adobe, such as Photoshop Express, Lightroom application is not intended to be used in isolation from the desktop. According to product manager Tom Hogarty Lightroom, the app was designed to bridge the gap between desktop and mobile devices.

Lightroom for iPad uses the smart preview, which allows users to work with large files without taking up much space on the devices. The function creates a proxy of the original RAW-file that retains the properties and flexibility of the original, but it takes only 2 to 3 percent of the original file size.

The application also uses control gestures such as tap with three fingers to switch before and after, or tap with two fingers to open the image metadata. In Lightroom for iPad is, not all the editing tools from the desktop version, but the main settings are present, including the adjustment of contrast, saturation, juiciness, highlights and exposure.

The app is free to download, but its use requires a paid subscription to Photoshop Photography Program, which costs 9, 99 dollars a month. Mobile Lightroom is also available to subscribers Creative Cloud. Besides iPad-app Adobe plans to release this year, and the application for the iPhone.
