Riddle of the day: an ocean liner

How do you think the purpose for which this huge ship was at a normal German river, at the risk of running aground? Answer below.

The shipyard is located in the north of Germany in the town of Papenburg, which is located 40 kilometers from the North Sea coast on the River Ems. Meyer Werft for many years building large ocean-going cruise ships and is one of the largest and most modern shipyards in the world. Distance from the sea is not a hindrance, and all the vessels carefully carried to the big waters with the help of tugboats. Just pictured tugs dragged a huge ship on the river. And dragged astern. And this is not the most impressive pictures of the operation.
Interestingly, the shipyard is a family company founded in 1795 already. Now it belongs to the seventh generation of the Meyer family. From a small shipyard engaged in the construction of sailing ships, it has grown to the largest enterprise in the industry, and can build up to three large cruise ships a year. Its formation and development helped that she had the rest of the region took up the construction of railways steam ships, and during the war was a maintenance base and avoid severe damage. At the end of the 20th century, the shipyard built passenger and car ferries. The infamous Estonia went exactly to its stocks. Finnish Silja Line ordered Meyer Werft in 1993, the world's largest at the time of the cruise and passenger ferry Silja Europa. I do it even as it sailed from Turku to Stockholm. It really is a huge ship.
Now the shipyard almost completely switched to orders from the largest cruise operators. In 2000 we began to build a new large indoor dry dock c dimensions 384 x 125 x 75 meters. In 2007 it was increased to a length of 504 meters, and now it is the largest indoor swimming dock in the world and one of the largest buildings in the world.
