On the morning of March 27, 1968 at 10:18 Gagarin and Seregin took off on a training aircraft MiG-15UTI to Chkalovsky airfield near Moscow Schyolkovo. At 14:50 one of the helicopters have found the wreckage of the aircraft MiG-15UTI about 65 km from the airport, near the village of Novoselovo, 18 km from the town of Kirzhach Vladimir region.
