A large number of live starfish washed up on shore after a storm near Cape Free on the southeastern coast of Sakhalin:
Marine life found in the morning on November 18. Witness, Deputy Director of "Free 2001" Victor Shepelev (photo) said that the entire length of 3-5 km of shore was covered with invertebrates. According to the man, who works in the area for several years, no time such a large number of stars on the shore he saw.
Scientists, however, argue that this is a common natural phenomenon.
