Spider and the "backup"

On the mainland of Singapore, as well as on the island of Pulau Ubin spider inhabits Cyclosa mulmeinensis, who learned to deftly avoid predators.

So, on the web it places a "copy." From the dried plants, snared egg sacks and remnants of victims it creates similar in size and markings object. Also, the dummy has a "foot" like a spider, and even reflected light, like its prototype. And if the wind blows or something touches the network, "copy" will begin to slightly move that will give it an even greater resemblance to a living spider.

In the eyes of a predator (usually a local species of wasps) spider and its "copy" is absolutely not visible. And because the fake, as a rule, is the most prominent place on the web, predator attacks on him, not even noticing the spider.
