The album includes architectural fotovidy late XIX - early XX centuries and contemporary photographs of the same building. Almost all the buildings changed appearance.

8. Old photographs of buildings have been restored here with such contaminated photographic plates. In pre-revolutionary Russia for photographic film is a glass plate coated with the emulsion layer. Plates were quite heavy and fragile, and the emulsion of time and improper storage flaked and crumbled. To capture the image, we used a special light fotokorob and a digital SLR camera with macro lens.
