Earlier mobile phones were much stronger today. Understandably, there was nothing to break - monochrome screen on the calculator, the body of hard plastic and all, actually. Could from the balcony of such a device to drop, and then another couple of years to use it. Today's smartphones are much more fragile, but tough to withstand the test - to get between the wing and wheel motorcycle - is not capable of even bulletproof Nokia 3310.
