Ballerina on the streets
American photographer Shitagi Dane (Dane Shitagi) presented his project titled "Dancers of New York." In it, he combined the elegant beauty of smooth lines and curves of the body of a ballerina in stark contrast with the geometric shapes of the busiest urban landscapes.
Project started Shitagi in Honolulu, Hawaii. In search of inspiration and fulfillment photographer wanted to go beyond the studio of a small town, resulting in the shooting gradually moved to the streets of New York, Boston, Toronto.
Shitagi argues that this is not just an image of a typical dance, and the ability to convey emotion, the heartbeat and soul of a ballerina. Her soft, smooth curves complement the harsh urban landscape, reviving him, giving sensuality and penetration. Dane shows how beauty ennobles empty cities, making history brighter and more humane.
Work on the project lasted 8 years. To date, his photos are very popular. He is invoked brands such as Capezio and Fujifilm. Page of the first issue of fashion magazine Movmnt also decorated with his photographs.
