Mini-libraries

Little Free Library is a creative idea that came up with Todd Bol and Rick Brooks. It is designed to promote literacy through the creation of mini-libraries in different areas around the world.

This non-profit organization called the Little Free Library began in 2009. The small box into which the already read the book, which is located directly in front of the house or on the street corner. Site organizers reads: Little Free Library has a unique, personal approach. They have an understanding of what real people share their favorite books with their neighbors. This is not just an opportunity to find a book on the soul, there can also meet someone congenial to good communication.

The owners of libraries carefully monitored to ensure that their collections have not come across a book of erotic character, thus allowing, for children to use mini-libraries. In 2011 such libraries there were already 100 pieces. Currently there are about 6,000 worldwide. Bol said that by the end of the year to this number are planning to add another 25,000 units.

For $ 35 owners can bring their Free Little Library database with which they will be able to learn about other people. The Community will also help in maintaining and expanding your free library. Here are some creative ways to design a mini-library.
