It is an island-fortress, city-rock of Mont Saint-Michel, located on the northwest coast of France.
It was founded in the year 709. Diameter granite island - 930 meters. Altitude - 92 meters.
It has the highest on the European continent tide, almost 9 meters, transforming the city-rock in the peninsula, in the island.
Now Mont Saint-Michel is home to 80 residents. Fifty of them are monks of the Benedictine abbey.
