Five best Soviet films that were shot at the Odessa film studio

Much has been said about the quality of Soviet cinema, just as copies have been broken. Some people think there is no better man in the world. It is kind and a bit naive, but it is always about the victory of good over evil (at least as the Soviet officials saw it). Others believe that the level of cinema of those years did not reach the heights of world cinema. People liked the movie because they didn’t see it. Today we will look at only a small part of the Soviet cinema. Let’s share our rating of the films I’ve made. Odessa Film Studio.

Immediately add that the choice of paintings is very subjective and created solely on the basis of the opinion of the author. Surely you will have your own, which will not coincide with this. You can always talk about it in the comments under the material, we will definitely read it.

Odessa Film Studio To begin a small excursion into history. The Odessa Film Studio was founded, which in Soviet times was one of the two centers of film production in Ukraine (the second, of course, in Kiev). 1907. It was actually a film studio back then.

Local photographer Miron Grossman He began to film the Odessa chronicle. A few years later, on the territory of his brother’s cottage, he built a laboratory in which the film and a small pavilion were processed. Well, the state film studio became in 1919 after the nationalization and merger of private film factories Kharitonov, Grossman and Borisov.

Here shot a lot of paintings that are remembered by the Soviet audience. In this article, we will highlight five that, in our opinion, deserve the title of the best. At the same time, we will not even place. No need to, because all these pictures are beautiful.

"The Adventures of Electronics." A beautiful story and an excellent film adaptation, which was adored by all Soviet schoolchildren. In those days, almost every school quoted this masterpiece. In case anyone forgot, the essence of the story is that a robot named Electronics escaped from the professor's lab. His appearance, the scientist copied from the boy, whose portrait was placed on the cover of the magazine. It is from this moment that the most interesting things begin.

Of course, great songs deserve special attention. Who doesn’t remember “Winged Swing” or “The Clock on the Old Tower”? This is a great movie that should be watched at least once a year.

The meeting place cannot be changed. Not even a movie, but a whole series that gave a huge number of quotes that have become cult. Of course, part of the picture about MUR was shot in Moscow, but all the pavilion shooting took place in Odessa. Great Vysotsky, talented Konkin, charismatic Dzhigarkhanyan and many others. The fight against the gang “Black Cat” entered the history of cinema of that country.

"Spring on Zarechnaya Street" A touching story about the love of a teacher and a steel worker. The first one comes to the city, where there is a huge metallurgical plant, to teach Russian language and literature at the local school of working youth. The second one is in this very school.

The teacher does not immediately realize how difficult it is for young people to get an education after a difficult day at work. On the other hand, local workers find many reasons and temptations not to study. The film shows how important it is to get an education, even if you have to spend your time on it.

D'Artagnan and the Three Musketeers I won't even tell you much here. And so it is clear that this is a cult adaptation of the classic novel by Dumas. This is the film with Boyarsky, which the actor should be grateful for his reputation. Until now, most of the jokes associated with Michael are references to the picture of the Musketeers.

"Wizards." If for most Soviet residents the symbol of the New Year was the painting “The Irony of Fate, or With a Light Steam!”, then in my family they watched “The Magicians”. I confess that among Soviet actors, I adored Abdulov on about the same level as Myagkov. These are two symbols of the cinema of that country. So the films they starred in are a priori beautiful.

As for this picture from the script of the Strugatsky brothers, it is difficult to find words to express how much I love it. Where in the Soviet cinema without beautiful songs? It's about the costume, the three white horses, and the Witch River. It's a good movie, I won't wait until the New Year, I'll revisit it today.

"Take care of women" I wouldn’t be surprised if you haven’t seen this movie. I love him very much, so I put him on the list. And it is impossible that in the selection from the Odessa film studio there were no films about the sea. I would like to call this picture an island of feminism in the Soviet Union. A film about girls who work in tow. They have an exclusively female team, and their parents, who hold various positions in the port, do their best to get their daughters to abandon their positions.

The turning point in the film is the arrival of a journalist-practitioner who needs to make a report about work on ships. To once again annoy the girls, the guy is sent to them as a coke. What happened next, see for yourself...

"Come tomorrow..." Talented, but very naive Frosya Burlakova comes to Moscow to enter Gnesinka and become a singer. It turns out that the entrance exams are already over. But the girl wants to be heard by Professor Sokolov. It is for the sake of the scene of this audition that it is worth watching the whole film. She makes me very happy every time.

Of course, many other paintings could be added to this list. But we'll stop there. You can write in the comments, which films of the Odessa film studio you remember more than others. Someone might want to see one of these pictures.
