You'll need it.
  1. 2-3 packs of baking soda. The amount depends on the degree of contamination of the lattice and its size.

  4. Aluminum foil. It needs a lot, so worry about some supply of this universal remedy.



  5. Housekeeping washcloth. Without it, it is unlikely to get rid of dirt.
  6. A building patten. Not quite the usual tool for cleaning, but it will be useful in this case.
  7. Paper stapler. If there's no stapler, no problem. You can use paper clips or just bend the edges.


How to clean a cast-iron grille at home First you will need foil and stapler. Unroll the foil and place a grille on it. The grille should lie so that it does not touch the edges of the foil. Ideally, there should be a gap of at least 10 centimeters on each side of the foil.



Now raise the edges so that you get the sides. Secure them with a stapler. You should have a makeshift grate bath. Pull out the grille and cover the bath with several more layers of foil to prevent water from leaking.



Put the grille in the bath and pour baking soda on top. Pour hot water to cover the entire grille. Move the grille in the tub so the soda solution mixes well. Leave it that way for 3 hours.



In three hours, take out the lattice from the bath, rinse with hot water and scrape the soaked dirt with a spatula. You'd be surprised how easy it is to get the whole thing off. Then take a clean washcloth and gently walk around the entire grille, removing the remains of dirt. Rinse the water again. And enjoy the perfect cleanliness of the stove grille.
