What to do with a child during quarantine

What to do with kids During the forced holidays? Endless viewing of cartoons and computer games is clearly not the best option for pastime, and clubs and sports sections are temporarily closed.

So that children do not complain of boredom, parents (many of whom are now forced to work from home) will have to sweat a lot. To cope with this difficult task will help playfulness from "Site".

While adults are busy with their own affairs, we give children ideas that will fascinate them for a long time, enrich them with new impressions and, how to know, instill interest in science and needlework.

  1. Rainbow mucus
Slime, or in the vernacular “lizun”, children use for games or as a funny “anti-stress”. It is pleasant to crumple in hands, it is easy to buy, but it is much more interesting to make with your own hands from improvised means, and how - we will tell later.

For the first recipe, you'll need PVA glue and shaving foam. Pour glue into a suitable dish, add a little foam and mix thoroughly.

If the mass has not thickened to the desired state, then repeat the second step. Then add the dye, take the resulting mass in your hands and start kneading intensively until it looks like a real slide.

Slime with gel for shaving and toothpaste is airy, voluminous and lush, shimmers in the light with many rainbow shades. Lizun based on silicate glue is transparent and elastic. A good result, as seen in the video, gives a mixture of shampoo and sugar.

  2. How to make snow
We haven’t had much snow this winter, so why not make artificial snow in the kitchen? For such an experiment, you will need very little: baking soda, air conditioning for blonde hair and a bowl.

Mix 3 cups of baking soda with 1/2 cup of hair conditioner.

The resulting snow can be used for games and even make it a cute snowman. And what else, besides snow, can be done with baking soda, we told in one of our articles.

  3. How to paint a picture with candy
Those who like to collect puzzles at leisure or prefer to decorate mandalas, simply did not try to draw with the help of chewable Skittles candy! Show the kids how to do it, and a few quiet evenings are guaranteed!

To create unique abstract patterns, children will need very little: a flat white plate, a handful of Skittles sweets and a couple of spoons of warm water.

Place colorful dragees around the circumference of the plate (the role is played by a combination of colors) and pour a small amount of water. Now we have to enjoy the process.

Kids and adults like to watch the colors spread through the water and come together, each time creating new cool drawings. The most successful creations children will probably want to photograph, and also - used candy, if desired, you can eat!

  4. Edible plasticine
Homemade marshmallow dough children can stretch, crumple, roll, sculpt and even taste! This is an amazing tool that allows kids to study shapes, experiment with flowers, develop fine motor skills and imagination.

But on the other hand, it's fun for parents: an inexpensive, natural alternative to store-bought toys and 100% safe food. All four simple ingredients of marshmallow dough are completely edible: marshmallow, coconut oil, food coloring and corn starch.

To prepare a color dough, you will need 6 pieces of marshmallow, 4 tablespoons of starch, 2 teaspoons of coconut oil and a food dye of several colors. Heat the marshmallow with coconut oil in the microwave (20-30 seconds) until the marshmallow swells and softens. Then add the dye, starch and hand-mix the dough.

If you are looking for more creative projects for your children, try our homemade candy recipe. Candies made of nuts, dried fruits and cereals are ideal for healthy eating in families where there are small children, they will become a favorite and popular dessert.

  5. A cloud of soap
Do your children like chemistry? Call them now! Ask them to make a cloud out of a regular bar of soap. Incredible, fluffy and porous!

Place in the microwave a piece of waxed paper, parchment, plastic film or paper towel. Put a piece of white baby soap on it without dyes (this is important!) and additives. Turn on the microwave for a few minutes at high power.

Control the process visually, it may take less time. The result is something white and airy, like frozen foam, but light and fragile. Interestingly, most of the positive results are associated with Ivory brand soap.

  6. A hoop that flies better than a paper airplane
When all the store toys are tired, home classics come to the rescue, with which children play for decades.

If you’ve ever dreamed of being a brave pilot, you’ll love this idea from Crazy Russian Hacker.

He tweaks a homemade classic toy and does something super fun.

  7. Tornado in the bank
A tornado is a giant air funnel that rotates very quickly and draws in all objects that come in the way. In America, this destructive atmospheric phenomenon is called a tornado, and a small experiment will allow us to create its visual model in miniature.

You will need water, a glass jar, a teaspoon of dishes, a few drops of dye and vinegar. Mix all the ingredients in the jar, cover it and spin until a tornado forms.

  8. Playing with colored foam
Color foam is an interesting entertainment, swimming with which will be a real holiday for children. To create it, you will need liquid soap and food coloring.

Mix in a bowl a glass of water, a few tablespoons of soap and dye. Hit the mixer before foaming. Repeat the same procedure for other flowers.

  9. How to make paving crayon
Sidewalk chalk is quite easy to do. You only need a few ingredients: a cardboard tube from toilet paper, water, plaster and dye. Mix the cast and water, add the dye.

Pour the plaster mixture into a tube with a taped end. If you use silicone molds, you can make crayons of a variety of shapes and colors.

  10. Hoop and sheet tent
The game tent is a universal subject. It can be a reading corner, a place to sleep, a camping area, a carnival tent, a royal palace, an Indian hut, a rocket ship, or whatever kids want at that moment.

To create it, you will need a sports plastic hoop, 11 meters of nylon cord, a fastening hook and 2 shower curtains. Four holes were drilled in the hoop at the same distance from each other.

Cut 1 meter of cord and cut the rest into 4 equal parts. Put them in the holes on the hoop and tie all 8 ends together. Run one piece of cord through all the holes in the two shower curtains and pull them together. It remains to pass the cords of the hoop together through the ring connecting the curtains, and fix them on the hook in the ceiling.

Kids love helping their parents in the kitchen, and having a forced vacation is a great time to give them that opportunity.

In addition, experts advise more often to involve children in cleaning the house and on your own example to teach the rules of personal hygiene (how to wash your hands, properly cover your nose and mouth during sneezing or coughing, use an antiseptic).
