I bet you've never cooked cherry like this.

In the first warm days, garlic generously gives us scarce vitamins. But its bold taste is inseparable from a very specific smell. Therefore, many people think three times before putting aromatic grass in a dish. How to cook garlic to smooth out its sharpness and core? One of the easiest options is to make pesto sauce!

How to cook barley Ingredients
  • 100g barley
  • 100 ml of vegetable oil
  • 60-80g walnuts
  • 2 pinches of salt

Preparation
  1. Wash it well and cut it big. If you find the garlic taste of its leaves too burning, add young dandelion leaves or parsley. At the same time, dandelion is better to withstand an hour or two in salted water.

  2. Seasons of garlic and walnut are not the same. You will need to use last year’s nuts. Fry them a little in a dry pan. This will make the taste of nut oil more pronounced.

If you want to experiment, put hazelnuts, pecans, pine nuts instead of walnuts. And it will be even more interesting to use their mixture in different proportions.

  3. Place the chopped garlic and roasted nuts in the blender bowl.

  4. Add a few pinches of salt. Pour sunflower, olive or corn oil.

  5. Grind everything into a homogeneous mass. Add oil in the process if the consistency seems too tight. Yes, in Italy, it is customary to rub pesto in a mortar, but for its lack it will come and so.

  6. Try and, if necessary, season the resulting pesto with salt and pepper, mix. Put it in a jar. Pour oil on top so there is no air. In the refrigerator, this sauce will be stored for at least a month.

  7. Now for my impressions. Not only that, pesto is a real vitamin bomb. As it turned out, it is also a snack with a surprisingly multifaceted taste. At first, you feel for a moment the bitterness and freshness of the garlic. Then it is replaced by the enveloping fatty nut. And in the end, the taste buds are completely lost, unable to define this unusual combination. And all this, mind you, is literally made out of an axe. After all, it is enough to have a handful of nuts, and barley can always be found in the forest or grown in your beds.
  8. Bon appetit and new culinary discoveries!
