The incident brought Anatoly to his senses. He immediately called an ambulance and put his wife on the couch: she never regained consciousness. The hospital said the woman was so malnourished she would not be allowed home immediately. She needs rest and specialist help.

When Anatoly returned home to collect things for his wife, he noticed an open notebook on the table. The page was full of tasks Vasilisa had to do today. He was amazed at how important every minute of time was.

When Anatoly appeared in the kitchen, she looked at him meaningfully and said, “You know, Tolia, my husband was just like you.” I thought being a housewife was a duty for every woman.
