“I'm the mother of twins. Rather, it was her, until the hospital I did not bring someone else’s child, — shares his story, our reader Anna. She was in a very atypical situation. What happened and why the woman returned to the maternity hospital after discharge, read further in the article.
My husband and I have been trying to have a baby for a long time. To be honest, I almost despaired and even thought about adopting a baby. But a miracle happened and another pregnancy test showed two stripes. At first I didn’t even believe my happiness. And when my husband found out, he just cried.
I tried to do everything possible to make the pregnancy go smoothly and well. We soon learned that we were going to have two children. I never imagined that I would be the mother of twins. Every day I prayed for a healthy son and daughter.
The long-awaited day of birth came so quickly that I could not even blink an eye. While I was pregnant, I felt like I was living a separate life. Everything went well at the hospital. I gave birth to two beautiful children: my son was named Alexei and my daughter was named Maria.
Before discharge, my children were taken for another examination. And when the nurse came back and gave me the children, I saw that my son was not among them. The soul went to the heels: “Where is my son?” You brought me someone else's baby! What's going on?!
The nurse replied that this could not be, and began to rummage through the documents. And I started screaming even louder, "What do you mean, it can't be?" I'm a mother of twins, gave birth to a son and a daughter! Are you kidding me?! I'm going to raise the whole hospital and go to the head doctor if you don't bring me my son!
The force of coincidence of the Nurse ran out of the ward and fled in an unknown direction. I was sitting on the edge of my bed holding tiny girls in my arms, who at that moment looked like two drops of water. I thought about the fact that the mother of this girl is probably sitting in one of the wards and demanding that her child be returned to her.

A few minutes later, the head doctor and the nurse entered the room. My son sang softly in her arms. “For God’s sake, please forgive us. There was a misunderstanding! This girl is now being formalized in an orphanage, her mother died during childbirth, and her father simply refused the child. No other relatives. The nurse just confused the children, sorry again! the doctor said.
The nurse apologised again and gave me my son and took the girl away. I went home, but I felt very uneasy. That night, I dreamt of the same girl I was brought to the hospital by mistake. I could clearly see her crystal clear eyes staring at me.
I woke up with a clear sense that I had to adopt this baby. When my husband found out about it, he supported my proposal, although we both knew that our situation and with two children would be difficult. But the inner confidence that we were doing the right thing was encouraging.
I'm a mother of three now. I don’t think I’ve ever been so happy in my life!
