How to use a hand machine to weave a scarf in 40 minutes

My mother and grandmother love to knit, both with spokes and with a hook. I used to love this wonderful kind of needlework, but I was always frustrated by the amount of time I spent making new things. Perhaps it is because I am a very active person, and there is always not enough time, but I want to have time.

And a year ago, I met a talented woman who discovered a new kind of needlework for me. And most importantly, I'm getting fast. fresh-up handmade.

This kind of needlework is easier than it seems. Especially when it comes to a small hand machine that allows you to quickly weave a colored canvas.





To create a stylish and warm scarf, you will need a special device for weaving. You can buy a ready-made machine or make it yourself, as I did.

For the manufacture of a manual machine, you can take a rectangular wooden frame and drive nails along its perimeter. The distance between them should be the same.





In addition to the machine for work, you will need a special hook. It differs from conventional knitting and is an L-shaped device resembling a dentist's tool. However, if you can not find one, you can use knitting.





To begin hand-woven, tighten the noose of yarn and throw it on the outermost lateral cloves. Pass the remaining short edge of the thread so that it is on the inside of the yarn from below. The working thread will be used for weaving.





Weave the cloves alternately, crossing the thread in the shape of an eight so that you get a kind of lace, and then fix the thread on the extreme cloves.

Carefully sweep all the yarn on the machine to the frame itself, so that the layer of thread becomes denser. All yarn should be at the base of the carnations. After that, you need to start applying a new layer of yarn. To do this, the working thread is removed from the extreme cloves and weaved over already fixed loops. The pattern of weaving must be repeated. Fix the thread at the end of the frame in the same way as in the first row.





With the hook, remove the lower loop from the cloves so that the upper one remains on it. The process is repeated as many times as necessary to weave the scarf of the desired length.

At the very end of the mating, you'll have a row of loops on the machine. To close the weaving, throw each loop, starting from the extreme to the opposite part of the machine and stretch through it the loop that became the lower. At the end of the weave, fasten the yarn with a knot.
