A household responsibilities test to help you understand which of you is more invested in your family

Have you recently had the feeling that all the household duties that are assigned to the shoulders of the spouses when creating a family have completely fallen on your shoulders and the other half has completely ceased to take part in the improvement of life together?

We offer to check how true your suspicions are with a simple and quick test!

Stock up with a small piece of paper and a pen, and then get comfortable. Below you will see a list of household chores that each couple has to cope with. Write the numbering of items on the prepared sheet.

Read each item carefully and be extremely honest with yourself when making a decision.

If the above sentence describes the duties that you normally do, tick the number of this item. If your partner (or other family members) is doing this, put a cross.

  1. Planning a menu for the day, cooking and cleaning the kitchen after.
  2. Making a list of necessary products and shopping.

  3. Laundry and laundry.
  4. Ironing, as well as sorting and folding clothes in the closet.

  5. Repairing minor breakdowns in the house. Solving problems with plumbing and household appliances.
  6. Vacuuming, floor washing, and cleaning the bathroom.
  7. Regular garbage disposal.

  8. Maintaining a cozy atmosphere in the house and interior arrangement.
  9. Watering flowers, caring for the garden or garden.
  10. Tracking cleanliness and changing bed linens.

  11. Caring for pets. Purchase of feed, change of tray, walking and organization of active leisure of the animal.
  12. Help with homework for the child, as well as communication with teachers and educators outside the educational institution.
  13. Meeting the child after school and organizing children's leisure.

  14. Organization of family leisure, as well as congratulating loved ones on holidays.
  15. Maintenance of home accounting, payment of utilities and other bills.

The results of the test Each tick is 2 points. Count the number of ticks and multiply the resulting amount by 2. If you scored only 10 points (or less), consider rethinking the division of household responsibilities.

The result of 12-16 points indicates that household responsibilities in the family are distributed correctly and each spouse performs approximately the same number of important household chores.

But a number of 26 to 30 points indicates that it is time to start allowing yourself more rest.

Ask your spouse to take the test and compare the results. And also do not hesitate to share the impressions of passing the test in the comments!

Have a good day and see you again!
