Why in a private house wood stove or fireplace

Need a fireplace or furnace? Today it seems that all this is not necessary, because there are gas, electricity and other sources of energy that better meet modern demands. But is everything so smooth?

Today's edition. "Site" It offers to understand why professional builders and heating installers are increasingly advising owners when building a house to provide for the possibility of installing either a furnace or a fireplace. Why is that even necessary?

The more civilization develops, the more people become dependent on the benefits of infrastructure. But you get used to the good stuff. I don’t know how fragile this whole infrastructure can be.

But it is enough to remember how after another heavy rain or snowfall, electricity easily disappears. And if nature shows a little more than usual, as without the benefits of civilization, individual settlements can be for days and even weeks.

However, without running water and even electricity in a private house, you can somehow live a couple of days. Moreover, there is often a well or other source of water on the site. But in the case of heating, it is completely wrong to freeze the whole family.

And it does not matter what happened: the electricity was lost, the boiler malfunctioned or the gas was turned off. If there is a wood stove or fireplace, the house will be warm in any case. So, you can prepare for the vagaries of the weather and other troubles on your own. So why give that up?

Of course, someone will save a gasoline generator just in case. And it seems that this device will definitely help. Will there always be gasoline for the generator? After all, it often happens that there is a generator, but there is no gasoline to it. And there is no way to get to the gas station, because the road was covered with snow. What do we do then?

But to implement in a private house some option of oven heating is quite simple. You can fold a small stove yourself. You can buy a ready-made one. Fortunately, today there are enough stoves for every taste and wallet.

But if you are planning a large-scale repair of the house or just at the construction stage, why not provide for the installation of a wood stove? Your home will be much better protected from various unpleasant surprises at the wrong time.

And although modern heating methods are more convenient, but stove heating has its advantages. After all, the heat that comes from an ordinary wood stove is not comparable to any other source (be it gas or electricity). And the sound of crackling wood in the oven blows some special comfort. And food can be cooked.

Of course, in addition to the advantages of the oven in a private house is not without disadvantages. It takes up a lot of space, heats up for a long time, needs constant supervision, and when burning firewood creates a lot of waste. But if you're going to use it rarely, it's definitely not going to be a burden.

What do you think of this alternative heating source? Is it worth installing a stove or fireplace in a private house?
