Growing cucumbers in a seedling method makes it possible to harvest as much as two weeks faster. Nevertheless, many prefer to take care of growing young sprouts on their own and choose the usual method of planting cucumbers, that is, seeds. That is why today we will pay special attention to the proper planting of cucumber seeds.

Before planting, it is necessary to take care of high-quality processing of seeds. So to begin with, the seeds that have passed pre-sowing must be disinfected. To do this, simply mix 30 ml of garlic mezza with 100 ml of cold water and hold the seeds in this solution for 60 minutes. After the necessary time, we remove the seeds and transfer them into a small tissue bag.

And then we prepare another solution. Mix 1 liter of water with 1 tsp. sifted wood ash and 1 tsp. nitrophosca. Next, bags with cucumber seeds are lowered in the finished solution and left so for 10-12 hours. You can simply soak the seeds overnight and move on to the next processing step in the morning.

As for the next stage, now the seeds must be washed with clean water and evenly distributed on a slightly damp cloth. Then you need to find a place in the house where the air temperature does not fall below 20 degrees Celsius. After completing the search directly on the rag, we transfer seeds there and leave them in this form for two days.

When the seeds are fully swelled, you just need to put them in the refrigerator for 24 hours. And then you can go directly to their landing.

Cucumber planting is generally unpretentious culture. For their cultivation, almost any soil is suitable. However, the most favorable environment for cucumbers will be a mixture of sawdust with humus, peat and sod earth in a ratio of 1: 1: 1: 1.

The day before planting the fields of the bed with a solution consisting of 10 liters of hot water and 1 tsp. copper sulfur. On the very day of planting seeds, dig holes about 5 cm deep at a distance of half a meter from each other.

Then it remains only to place the seeds in the holes, sprinkle them with earth and pour water.

The first 3 weeks after planting seeds should regularly loosen the soil to a depth of about 3 cm. Then the frequency of loosening can be reduced to 1 time per week.

In addition, it is necessary to carefully monitor the presence of weeds in the beds and immediately remove them when found.

Before flowering, cucumber beds should be watered with warm water every week. And already during the ripening of fruits, plants require more moisture. Therefore, during this period, they should be watered two to three times more often.

To become a happy owner of a rich cucumber harvest, you should carry out a comprehensive feeding of the plant.

Instead of simple water, the bed should be watered all summer with a solution of urea. This will save plants from a lack of nitrogen and strengthen cucumber lashes.

Potash-phosphorus fertilizers can also be used for complex feeding.

Care for cucumbers also involves timely tying of plant shoots. It is equally important to pinch the main stem of the cucumber after the formation of the seventh leaf on it.

All this stimulates the branching of the plant and increases the yield.
