Grandma's way to turn disposable covers into reusable

To date, screw rolling covers twist-off, perhaps, lead in popularity. But their price is higher than that of ordinary tins. Therefore, it is not surprising that many housewives would like to turn disposable covers into reusable ones.

The problem is that during use, the lacquer coating on the inside is often damaged. This leads to rust (especially when banks are stored in a cellar).

Re-use of such covers is undesirable. But "Site" Knows the life hack, allowing you to do this without compromising your twists at least once again.

Disposable covers Place lids and cans in a bowl, pour water and put on the fire to be sterilized.

You will need good parchment paper that does not let in moisture and fat. It is better if it is durable paper with silicone impregnation.

Cut out circles from parchment in advance, the diameter of which is 3-4 centimeters larger than the neck of the jar (food film and foil may also be suitable).

Fill the banks with prepared conservation. Take one of the paper circles with tweezers and dip it into boiling water for a second.

Now cover them with a filled jar and tightly twist on top with a sterilized lid.

Baking paper will create an obstacle in the way of contact of products and recycled lid.

If your workpieces survive the winter perfectly, and there are no new flaws on the covers, then they can be used for the third time. The main thing is to open carefully, without putting a knife.

To verify the quality of the covers, you can conduct a simple test. Turn the closed jar upside down and hold it for 10-15 minutes. If after that, not a drop of liquid appears on the rim, then preservation is closed qualitatively and will be stored for a long time.
