Crimean way of cutting watermelon for those who all their life cuts wrong and wobbles with watermelons

How fast time flies! It’s mid-August and summer is about to end. However, do not be sad, because this time pleases us with juicy and sweet watermelons. You need not only to be able to choose this berry correctly, but also to know, how to cut watermelon properlyIt's nice to bring it to the table.

By the way, many argue: watermelon is a berry or a fruit? Watermelon is a very large fruit, I immediately want to say that after all the fruit. However, it does not grow on trees like fruit, so watermelon is a berry. In addition, this fruit can not be eaten whole, like, for example, gooseberry, which is why botanists clarify: watermelon is a false berry. But its taste is quite real, sweet, not sweet and very juicy.

I always cut the watermelon as I thought comfortable. However, the lobes did not always turn out even, besides, the knife often slipped, and it happened that I almost hurt myself. Everything changed after my trip to Crimea: Crimeans showed me a great way to cut watermelon.

The method of cutting watermelon put on the kitchen board, take a long, sharp knife and proceed to slicing. To begin with, the watermelon should be cut in half, into two even parts. Until one half is put aside and the other is also cut in half.

A quarter of the watermelon (half of half) is cut so that you get a “boat”. We begin to cut from one edge of the watermelon, and along the length of the crust we hold the knife under the pulp to the second end of the lobe. So we're going to disconnect the flesh from the skin.

Now we cut the watermelon in small segments. Through one segment, shift the sliced parts of the watermelon slightly to the left and right sides alternately. It should be something like an accordion.

After such cutting, watermelon is more convenient to take, and the slices will be without crust. It is very convenient to eat this delicious berry. In the same way we cut the other halves of watermelon. For convenience, each of them can be put in a plate so that the juice from the watermelon does not flow onto the table.

Of course, everyone uses their own method of cutting. Someone taught his father, someone else invented his own way. This article is just an example of how you can quickly, conveniently, creatively and correctly cut watermelon. We wish you a pleasant appetite and the ripest berries and fruits on your table!
