Ingredients for the dough
  • 350 g flour
  • 180 g soft butter
  • 1 tsp ground chicken
  • 1 tsp dry ground ginger
  • 0.5 tsp nutmeg
  • 0.5 tsp soda
  • 1 egg
  • 120 g cane or white sugar
  • 3 tbsp. l. honey
  • a pinch of salt


Ingredients for icing sugar
  • 80 g icing sugar
  • 3-4 tsp milk


Preparation
  1. Combine flour with cinnamon, ground ginger, nutmeg, baking soda and salt. Mix well.



  2. Combine softened butter and sugar in a separate container. It is best to use cane sugar as it gives a caramel flavor and richer color. But if it is not there, then you can change it to regular white sugar. Add egg and honey. Beat with a mixer for 2 minutes until smooth.



  3. Add dry mixture to liquid mixture. Use a silicone spatula to stir the dough. Gather the dough into a ball and then divide into 2 pieces. The dough should be soft and not sticky to your hands. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.





  4. Roll out the dough into a thin layer up to half a centimeter. Use the molds to cut the cookies out of the dough. Carefully transfer the cookies to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.



  5. Bake the cookies for 5-7 minutes in an oven preheated to 180 ° C. The cookies are very thin and can burn in no time! Wait for the dough to change its color slightly, and quickly remove the gingerbread from the oven.



  6. For the glaze, mix the icing sugar with milk. Add milk gradually, over the bed, stirring the mass thoroughly each time. Please note that the glaze should not be runny. Otherwise, it will not keep its shape.



  7. Put the icing in a piping bag, and then paint the biscuits the way your imagination dictates. That's it, the gingerbread cookie is ready. Bon Appetit!
