Slovak artist has created a biodegradable chair Beleaf

Šimon Kern found an unconventional way of using fallen leaves and created a "green" furniture. Slovak artist has developed Beleaf, a biodegradable chair made from recycled leaves, Bismol and steel. The establishment of chair started during the study Šimon Kern at the University of Jan Evangelista purkyně in ústí nad Labem, Beleaf was developed as an environmentally friendly alternative to plastic furniture.

The designer made the chair seat, mix fallen leaves with bizmology obtained from the remaining oil after frying, and placing the mixture in a mold. After hardening and grinding, the seat is fixed on a structure made of steel pipes, which symbolizes the trunk and branches that support the leaves of the tree.

Šimon Kern notes that if the seat breaks, it can be reused as fertilizer for the tree. Fallen leaves for the manufacture of a new chair can be assembled beneath the tree. "My project is focused on practical use in the furniture industry leaves that become garbage in the cities," — said the designer. "If we're going to believe and use all our strength, and we can go from plastic to the leaves. You just need to believe that there is a way by which we can change the world." published
