What's going on in your young children's heads

Parents are always curious about what goes on in the minds of their young children. Imagine that your child keeps a journal. Here's what this could have done:

8:10 a.m. Doused the carpet with cologne. It smells great. Mom's mad. Cologne was banned.

8:45. I threw a lighter in my coffee. I got a kick.

9:00. I was in the kitchen. It was a bullet. The kitchen was banned.

9.15. I was in Dad's office. It was a bullet. The office was banned, too.

9:30. I pulled the key out of the closet. Played with him. Mom didn't know where he was. Me too. Mom was fighting.

10:00. Found lipstick. Painted the wallpaper. No way.

10:20. Pulled a spoke out of knitting. Bent. I stuck my second needle in the couch. Spokes are forbidden.

11:00. Forced to drink milk. Wanted water. Great screaming. I got a kick.

11:20. I pissed in my pants. I got a kick. Pants were forbidden.

11:30. Broke the cigarettes. There's tobacco inside. Not good.

11:45. Chasing the centipede. We got to the wall. I found the lice. Interesting, but banned.

12:15. Eating poop. The taste is exquisite, but forbidden.

12:30. Spit out the salad. Inedible. No spitting.

13:15. Quiet hour. I didn't. Went out and sat on the feather. Freeze. Freeze is forbidden.

14:00. Thought. I realized they banned everything. Why do we all live?published
