Delphi and MobilEye are preparing a demonstration of advanced autopilot

Delphi and MobilEye, which announced their collaboration this summer, will showcase the latest self-driving system at CES 2017.

Delphi is already testing self-driving cars. Last year, the company announced the successful completion of an experimental motor rally in which an autonomous vehicle crossed the United States for the first time from the west coast to the east coast.

MobilEye specializes in the development of video cameras, software and other solutions that allow cars to automatically monitor the situation on the road.

The pilot system, developed by Delphi and MobilEye, is called Centralized Sensing Localization and Planning (CSLP). It is a fully integrated platform with advanced means of collecting and processing information. It is claimed that the solution allows cars to navigate in space with an accuracy of up to 10 cm even without using GPS. The system is able to identify objects in all directions; the car does not require road markings to drive.

As part of the demonstration at CES, the vehicle with the CSLP system will demonstrate the ability to drive in a variety of conditions on a stretch of about 10 km. The car will have to autonomously drive along the highway, city streets, overcome a number of intersections, etc.

The partners expect to present a commercial version of the CSLP autopilot in 2019. published
