Google has launched a thematic online exhibition dedicated to the world of nature and the evolution of mankind. Users are invited to visit the 150 interactive exhibitions, watch 300 thousand photos and videos and visit 30 virtual tours in 50 museums of the world. Online tours are available on the project website Google Arts & Culture.
The user can be on the stage of the best theatres in the world, including Carnegie hall, the Berlin Philharmonic, the Paris Opera, municipal theatre of Sao Paulo and many others. The project was named the Performing Arts.
The developers said that they used virtual reality technology to enliven some of the exhibits, such as giraffatitan from the natural history Museum in Berlin, one of the tallest dinosaurs (to 15 metres) that have ever lived on the planet. In addition, the website includes hundreds of interactive materials about the performances.
The visitors of the online exhibition are also encouraged to see how 3000 species, collected in one giant Cabinet, and to learn what could be our ancestors.
