The festival of light in Amsterdam: LED lighting painted the town in magical colors

Short winter days Amsterdam revives the traditional Festival of light and water. Among the activities of the festival, which attracts a lot of guests of the capital of the Netherlands, this spectacular light sculpture, LED lighting on the bridges, parades, fire boats and huge projections on public buildings.

The initiative to hold a festival of Light in Amsterdam belongs to Henk Jan Bachelu, Vincent Horbach, Felix Guttmann and Rogier van der Heyden — a person who designs LED lighting at Philips Lighting, giving priority to innovation, design and sustainable lighting.

A large number of sparkling installations made by Dutch and foreign artists, which are presented during the festival of Lights, is a significant reason to visit one of the most charming European capitals — Amsterdam.

Closing festival of Light in Amsterdam, which this year demonstrated the LED lighting, the journalists called a burst of light, high-tech and environmental innovation, was held on January 20.
