Recently Microsoft demonstrated the enhanced system of the support of reality, which will enable users from each other at any distance, to work together as if they were sitting at the same table, sharing between them a working space.


According to the statements of authors of the project, the innovative technology can create the illusion of forming the joint effect of communication face-to-face people who are removed from each other.


MirageTable technology works using three-dimensional projector that sends the image to the canvas concave plastic that is in front of the user. Additionally, before each participant communication set the Kinect sensor, which is tasked with tracking and conversion movements of each participant. It would be good to add compatibility with the Xbox 720.


It is also noted that in the future the system will be focused on computer game so that the player can't get it in 3D environment and interact with other objects. Nevertheless, the company recognizes that the system has not reached its perfection in today's time, as the last family of the Kinect is able to capture only objects near the camera, and it does not allow to create a real 3D space. Naturally, such a situation could be avoided if you install an additional camera, however, this will complicate the device.
