How large cities affect the human brain

Recently, the Belgian scientists conducted a study which showed that people who live in the city and exercise outdoors, popping various inflammatory processes in the body, they also show a lower result of passing the tests on cognitive ability than those who train outdoors.

The experiment involved two groups: a group of 15 people practiced in urban areas and 9 in rural areas. Each group for 12 weeks has been from 12:00 to 13:00, alternating walking and running. Then, each subject passed a test to measure thinking speed and attention.

Summing up the results of the tests, scientists concluded that high levels of air pollution in the city did not allow subjects to bring the benefits of brain training. Also the volunteers who trained in the city, were more frequent in inflammatory processes. But experts stress that to do sports in the open air, even in the city, much healthier than sitting in front of a computer.
