Unique light bulb, which get energy from algae

Seaweed inspire today, many projects that still look like something out of science fiction. And designer Gyula Bodonyi wanted to bring "green" energy in everyday life. In its development usually does LED bulb get energy from algae.
Activation of the bulb using a small air pump and hydrophobic material and is very similar to a tiny power plant.

The system sucks in carbon dioxide and water through the pump near the bottle cap. The air passes through the bulb, activates the microalga Chlorella pyrеnoidosa spirulinа contained within. Algae release oxygen, which in turn activates a small led.

It is interesting that the lamp is not just a light source and renewable source of energy. The bulb is able to absorb carbon dioxide, thus helping the global problems with greenhouse gases.
